Yesterday was a busy day for Lily and the cast and crew of ‘Cinderella’. FILM MUSIC REPORTER – Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for Disney’s family fantasy movie Cinderella. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-nominated composer Patrick Doyle (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Thor, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Sense and Sensibility). Also included is the original end titles song Strong written by Doyle, Kenneth Branagh & Tommy Danvers and performed by Sonna Rele, as well as two songs from the animated film performed by Lily James and Helena Bonham Carter. The soundtrack will be released on March 10, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Cinderella is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Richard Madden, Stellan Skarsgard, Holliday Grainger, Sophie McShera, Derek Jacobi and Helena Bonham-Carter. The live action adaptation of Disney’s classic animated film will be released nationwide on March 13. For updates on the film, visit the official movie website.

BROADWAY – It would seem that Downton Abbey’s Lily James really has found her prince in Game of Thrones’ Richard Madden! The pair, who will soon be seen in the Kenneth Branagh-helmed live-action version of Cinderella, will headline Romeo and Juliet for the director in London’s West End. According to the Daily Mail, the production of Shakespeare’s classic will begin performances at the Garrick Theatre in October.

James’ stage credits include Vernon God Little, The Seagull and Othello. Madden previously played the lead in Romeo and Juliet for the Globe Theatre; other stage credits include Noughts and Crosses.

Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona, Italy, and tells the story of two young lovers whose noble families are locked in a bitter feud. They try to defy the circumstances that forbid their love, with heartbreaking results. The play was last seen on Broadway in 2013 starring Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad.
