Lily is featured in a new TV spot for Sky Mobile directed by Sam Larsson! The campaign launched on TV, social media and radio yesterday (29th April) and will run until the end of June.

Since it will primarily run in the UK, I’ve attached it below for those who want to check it out!

Sky Mobile is highlighting how you can keep hold of things you would normally lose, such as mobile phone data, with British star Lily James showing how the ‘Roll’ feature makes your data go further.

The campaign, created by Engine Creative, is the newest instalment of Sky Mobile’s ‘Hello Possible’ campaign. It highlights how Sky Mobile’s ‘Roll’ feature allows you to keep hold of what you would normally lose. At the end of every month, any unused data is typically lost with other network providers, whereas Sky Mobile lets you keep the data you have paid for, rolling it into your Sky Mobile piggybank for up to three years.

The 30-second TV spot brings this concept to life, featuring ‘Little Colin’, an underdog at a rugby match, unexpectedly catching hold of the rugby ball. Lily James cheers him on excitedly from the side lines, while The Beach Boys’ song ‘Wouldn’t it be Nice’ plays in the background, Colin dodges some of his team’s opponents and leaps high above others, completing an unbelievable try against all the odds. The spot finishes with Lily James saying: “Sky Mobile rolls your spare data so you can keep hold of it for up to three years.”

Christopher Phillips, Sky Mobile’s head of marketing, says: “The film brings our ‘Roll’ concept to life, where we show how effortless it is to keep hold of your spare data with Sky Mobile.”

Leon Jaume, executive creative director at Engine Creative said: “In Sky Mobile’s world of possibilities, Lily James inspires a spindly kid who’s about to be mullered on the rugby field to try-scoring glory, with a bit of help from Traktor and the digital wizards at 1920.”

The ‘Hello Possible’ platform for Sky Mobile is born out of a belief that the old, rigid mobile networks of the past are too inflexible. Sky Mobile provides a welcome antidote, offering customers the freedom of a more flexible network and making possible what was not previously so.

Lily stepped out again last night, this time to attend the 2022 Prince’s Trust Gala in New York City. She proved once more that neither she or her styling team can possibly do wrong, as she looked absolutely gorgeous from top to toe at this event! Our gallery has been updated with photos from the evening, but I hope to have several additions later tonight or sometime this weekend.

As usual, Lily was styled by her incredible stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, and her outfit was a custom Miu Miu creation styled with a Versace Bag, jewellery from Ana Khouri and shoes by Jimmy Choo. Her stunning new dark brown locks were done by Danilo Dixon, and her make-up is all Charlotte Tilbury.

‘What Happened to Pam Was So Wrong’: Lily James on Filling an Icon’s Double Ds. The star of ‘Pam & Tommy’ explains the personal connection she felt to Pamela Anderson — and why she “lost perspective on who I was” while filming.

In the run-up to playing Pamela Anderson in the Hulu miniseries Pam & Tommy, the London-based actor Lily James had to submit an application to the State Department so she could enter the U.S. for filming. And the bureaucrat on whose desk that application landed took one look at it, squinted, and said . . . no. “I got denied,” James groans. “I wanted to live the lifestyle and get a tan and go to Malibu and try and absorb the American feel. Maybe they were thinking, ‘Well, you shouldn’t play Pamela Anderson — look at you.’ ”

Anderson, it’s true, is buxom, pillow-faced, and platinum. James is lean, angular, and brunette, though her naturally dark locks startle fans of her series of onscreen blondes: wildling Lady Rose MacClare in Downton Abbey, restless waitress Debora in Baby Driver, a younger Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, and her breakout starring role in Cinderella in 2015, which she unexpectedly won after auditioning for one of the wicked stepsisters.

But lucky for her, and us, the U.S. government changed its mind. So here James sits sipping a gin and tonic at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, her pale-lavender nails clashing playfully against her black leather jacket, discussing the show that’s launched her career into the stratosphere.

Pam & Tommy tracks the tumultuous first two years of Anderson’s marriage to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, from their ecstasy-fueled four-day courtship in Cancún to her public humiliation as their personal sex tape was stolen and then sold online. James delivers a charismatic, funny, and poignant portrait, capturing Anderson just as she was hoping to retire her Baywatch swimsuit for motherhood and mainstream success. In one standout monologue, Anderson aspires to a career like Jane Fonda — “this badass, sex-bomb, anti-war, workout-video-selling actress chick” — which will never come to pass because of a toxic mix of slut-shaming, scandal-mongering, paparazzi madness, and public mockery. Los Angeles Times | When she agreed to play Pamela Anderson, Lily James expected she’d eventually receive the “Baywatch” star’s blessing.

“Pam & Tommy” was, after all, about consent — an exploration of the disturbing privacy violation Anderson and her then-husband, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, suffered when their sex tape was stolen in 1995 and subsequently distributed online.

But as the start of production on the Hulu series approached last spring, inquiries to Anderson remained unanswered. Not only did the 54-year-old choose not to be involved with the miniseries but she apparently opposed its existence altogether. Tabloid reports, citing sources close to the actor, claimed she found the series “very painful,” calling it a “cheap knockoff” she’d never watch. A month into production, Courtney Love said on Facebook that the tape had “destroyed my friend Pamela’s life,” arguing the show was “further causing her complex trauma.”

“And shame on lily James,” Love added, “whoever the f— she is.”

Devastated: That’s who James now was. The 32-year-old had spent the better part of a year transforming into the former Playmate, only to be left wondering: By making a TV program about how Anderson was exploited, was James simply adding to the exploitation?

“I’m really sensitive to it,” she said, trying to rub out a stain from coffee she’d just spilled on her dress. “I just know that my intentions — our intentions — were good. I would never have come on board if I didn’t think it was a worthy story to look at in order to provoke a conversation about how we treat women.”

It’s a thorny topic — one she continues to grapple with. Five days after our interview, James sent an email saying how much the issues raised in the conversation had “been on my mind.” She said she’d only learned that Anderson wouldn’t be involved “quite late in the process,” and though she was “incredibly disappointed,” she’d channeled her feelings into a heightened sense of “responsibility to do absolutely everything I could to try and do her justice.” Continue Reading
